End Of Days: Biblical ‘ARkStorm’ To Hit California With Feet (Not Inches) Of Rain??

- By Bossip Staff

SMH:

Scientists are now warning Californians that the long-awaited ‘big one’ earthquake could be the least of their environmental concerns.

Another more deadly threat awaits the West coast of America – in the form of a biblical ‘ARkStorm’, which could bring death and destruction on a scale never before seen.
Walls of water 10ft high, rain falling in feet instead of inches, and nine million people’s homes flooded during a hurricane-like megastorm that could last more than month.

The every-other-century event last happened in 1861 and left the central valley of California impassable.

The cost was impossible to quantify – but should a similar event happen today the damage could total more than $300billion. The U.S. Geological Survey has now begun planning for the return of the ARkStorm, so named after the boat Noah used to escape the flood in the Bible. The capped-up ‘A’ and ‘R’ stand for ‘atmospheric river’. They have recruited 17 researchers and a string of agencies to work with local emergency crews and government officials across California to ensure that should it arrive, they would be best prepared for it.

The team says that a storm on the scale of that which struck in 1861 is ‘inevitable’ and it was widely considered the worst and longest on record. USGS chief ARkStorm scientist Lucy Jones said the weather system will start in the Tropics due to atmospheric rivers of moisture forming, grow larger and gain speed as it travels to the West coast of America where it would become roughly the same strength as a hurricane.

It would take some weeks to form, which would hopefully give them time to better prepare when it arrived. ‘We think this event happens once every 100 or 200 years or so, which puts it in the same category as our big San Andreas earthquakes,’ she said.
‘Floods are as much a part of our lives in California as earthquakes are. We are probably not going to be able to handle the biggest ones.’

Californians have a long history of coping with natural disasters, not least earthquakes as the state sits atop the San Andreas fault. The most destructive earthquake to hit California was 7.9 on the Richter Scale in 1906, when more than 3,000 people died.

The 6.9 quake of 1989, also known as the World Series Earthquake, left 63 dead and nearly 4,000 injured but many more had their homes destroyed.

It is just a scenario and there is no definitive proof of an actual superstorm coming. It is just a possibility of what “could” happen.

The media has taken what was supposed to be hypothetical situation and presented it as a fact…It’s not.

I swear stop posting misleading titles to stories. If you are always going to reffer to the end of the world please provide bible verses to back your story.1st off god already said since he destroyed the world once before with WATER that he was never going to do that again..the world will be destroyed by fire..pick up a bible.Secondly I would NOT I repeat NOT get worked up about this end of the world nonsense bc the bible gives you specific signs. And the most obvious of sighns will be jesus christ himslf coming in the flesh for the rapture..taking all the righteous saints and leaving us sinners behind.Giving the world a whole 7yrs to repent and get it together..after that 7yrs is up..then Id worry. But instead of having to worry seriously just turn your life around and give it to god..then what could possible be worth worrying over?this world we live in is horrible. The day jesus comes back will one of great joy and a day wher hopefully you unbelievers will yield to him

You sure are doing a lot o talking and don’t know what you’re talking about! Nowhere in the bible does it say God will destroy this world by fire. He stated that man will destroy this world. how…noone knows. (most obvious of sighns will be jesus christ himslf coming in the flesh for the rapture..taking all the righteous saints) Don’t make me laugh…That will be the last to happen sweetheart. Wars, rumors of wars, earthquakes, and other natural diasters, 2/3 of the animals dying….those oare signs. Go read your bible again.

Jesus is not coming back. Theres gonna be a dimensional shift you wont even feel and you’ll either be left here if you are wordly, or shift up if you are spiritual. thats as close as you get to “Jesus”. You have about 48 more realities to conquer boo boo.

so does that mean it was the end of days when it happened in 1861 smh c’mon son, natural disasters have happened since the beginning of time, its just now, technology has advance to where we can anticiapte it and take measures to counter act them and have minimal if no losses at all

This is believable. My husband is a civil engineer and he told me that cities are supposed to plan for storms that are 50-year storms, 100-year storms, 500-years storms, etc. It just means that a storm of that magnitude only happens once every x number of years. Hurricane Katrina was like a 100-year storm and all the snow we got last year was like a 100 year storm too. It has NOTHING to do with “the Rapture” and everything to do with natural meteorological events. Engineers use these storm possibilities to figure out how to design buildings to withhold these storms. This is not a new phenomenon or a novel concept.

Thank you! Somebody with some sense. The Earth has been here for millions of years and there have been ecological disasters of this magnitude during the same time period. The only thing that has changed is 1) the amount of people one the planet and 2) science…It is NOT, I repeat NOT the end of times…although it may be the end for some if this disaster is to be of a “biblical” magnitude…

  • msbliss

Thank U@Nicole. I h8te when ppl talk like that! Its called EARTH it rotates, it moves, like it or not volcanoes, earthquakes, tornadoes, blizzards, etc R natural and have shaped our land since the beginning of time! These elements even occur in space. I dnt take the bible literally cause its pointless when tryin 2 understand the Earth just like other books wit prophecies about natural disasters. Ppl wrote down what they saw & interpreted the only way they knew how at the time. Ppl have been studying natural disasters be4 Christianity & lived during a time where it was always a threat to them jus lik widespread diseases. Only difference now is that WE have made natural disasters worse by how we have treated our environment the last 5 centuries.

  • daisy jay (want some jermaisins?)

I heard about this on the news some days ago. Natural disasters happen all the time. People need to stop linking it to the “end of the world.” Even the Mayans said that the world is not meant to end in 2012 (not that their predictions ever mattered). Flood? It sounds…somewhat realistic. Hopefully I’ll be ready when it comes…or I could just buy a plane ticket to a different state *shrugs*.

Stop with the paranoia folks because there’s nothing to be worried about. Everybody thought something would go wrong when the new millenium came, yet we’re still here. Don’t worry your precious little heads over this BS

So this ARKSTORM is over 50 years overdue, huh? – Color me cynical, but this warning smacks of CHICKEN LITTLE!

Planet X coming and is causing major devastation to our planet in the form of ‘natural disasters’…..
But of course all this has been foretold in Revelations.
    Rev 12
Then another sign appeared in heaven: an enormous red dragon with seven heads and ten horns and seven crowns on its heads. 4 Its tail swept a third of the stars out of the sky and flung them to the earth.
