DAYUUUUUUM!!! Robert DeNiro Owes His Nanny 750 Hours Of Overtime Pay!!

- By Bossip Staff

How does a man with a net worth of $185 Million fail to pay the most important employee he has: the woman taking care of his kids???

Robert De Niro has been ordered by a court to give a nanny $30,000 in unpaid overtime.

The Goodfellas star and his wife Grace Hightower were sued by Alexis Barry, who claimed they never paid her for more than 750 hours of overtime for looking after their 12-year-old son, Elliott.

Manhattan Supreme Court in New York awarded the settlement, but released a stipulation forbidding either party discussing the case.

“The parties will keep the terms of this settlement confidential, as well as any matter related to Barry’s employment,” The stipulation said.

Alexis was hired by the couple in August 2006, earning $31.25 an hour, with a $46.88 overtime rate, to take care of their son. She worked for the couple for just under a year, before being fired in June 2007, two weeks after she informed them she was quitting.

We’re glad ol’ girl is getting her money, but she’s a dummy! A) For working more than 80 hours without getting paid for it and B) leaving a $30/hr job at the beginning of a recession! TEACHERS in New York aren’t getting that kind of money!

I know one thing, she had better keep her mouth shut. DeNiro DOES NOT play when it comes to telling his business.

I wish I would pay a nanny $31/hr when we have all of these immigrants running around willing to work for $10/her or less.

If they failed to pay her for 750 hours, they are WRONG, and when do they spend time with their child? GOOD GRIEF!

Wow, she is stupid, how do you not get paid for working?!?!?!?! Was she afraid of the wife or something? This has to be wrong, how did she not get paid for 750 hours in under a year?

The lead states that “…She worked for the couple for just under a year, before being fired in June 2007, two weeks after she informed them she was quitting…”

It appears that she gave two weeks notice. Apparently the job was not all roses and peaches for her to quit.
