How To Get Over That Man

- By Bossip Staff

Unless you’ve been living under a rock, you’re most likely aware of the negative media blitz surrounding Steve Harvey after his second ex-wife (Mary L. Harvey) released several YouTube videos depicting him as an unfaithful, manipulative, and selfish ex-husband. The negative attention is surely affecting Mr. Harvey’s reputation and book sales. And as expected, his attorneys have stated that he (and his current wife) plan to bring defamation lawsuits against his ex-wife. It’s all a big mess, and as seen from the unresolved feelings in her YouTube videos, Mary’s unhealed wounds are sure to be ripped open even wider.

I was told years ago by a very wise person that there are 3 sides to a story: her side, his side, and the truth. So I won’t make any assumptions. Most of us don’t know the absolute details of Mary and Steve’s failed marriage, but she is still obviously in pain. And we can all definitely relate to a topic that is very relevant to Mary L. Harvey’s situation- and that topic is “closure.” After watching her YouTube videos, Mary’s visibly unresolved pain reminded me of so many other women. I feel for her and I hope she eventually gets closure. But most important, I hope women will listen closely to and learn from her situation. We’ve all felt angry, disappointed, and even shocked when a relationship that we gave so much to didn’t last. But women need to understand that no matter how a relationship ends, whether you leave him or he leaves you, you can always reclaim your power and move on. Closure is not something a man gives you, it is something that you give yourself.

The best way for a woman to get over a man is sleep with another man asap. Most of them are in love with love not the guy anyway. If they distance themselves from the situation they will be in love again within a month or two. It’s different for men because it cuts into our soul, pride, manhood, best advice is to manup, deal with it as best you can it happens to the best of us.

No way! Its way to many things that can go wrong with that scenario.

Pregnancy, STDs, or you might even gain a stalker.

I say talk it out, write it out, DATE alot but don’t screw until your ready. I think men would be better off if they did the same.

If there are kids involved then that’s harder but if no kids are in the equation then cut the cord. Delete everything phone numbers, email address all them damn social networking friending all that lol. Its like ripping a bandaid off the quicker you do it the better of you will be. Although its a process and depending on the circumstances the getting over it part will need time but it can be done. It took me once an entire summer practically in my house,I only got jolted out of the misery because of the blackout of 2003, like oh snap what happened to all the power, we got a fridge full of food to save and then I went in like Wonder Woman mode and forgot I was depressed about a breakup lol

1st realize that no one is entitled to the next person. women get it twisted thinking they own a man cuz of kidz or that she gave up the cooch. let dat nucca go! when she realize that she don’t own that nucca for no reason then she can move on! part of the problem is chicks be actin like that invested into the man and he should pay good on a retun. that’s selfish. what did he get? cut all tie cuz if it was the other way around – and dude was “not letting go” of the woman then he would be called a faqing stalker! oh yeah and like REAL TALK said – take yo azz to church!!!

Stay in doors for a whole weekend and cry about it!! Look into where you went wrong and know how to address it for the next time. Then get the hell on with your life and don’t be too hard on yourself. Sometimes things are not meant to be.
