Shady Ex-Cops Plea Guilty In Philly Heroin Heist
SMH:
Two former Philadelphia police officers have pleaded guilty in a plot to steal heroin from a suspected drug supplier. Robert Snyder and James Venziale entered their pleas Monday. They are scheduled to be sentenced in May.
Venziale has agreed to cooperate with prosecutors. He faces a mandatory minimum of five years in prison after admitting he took part in a staged traffic stop of the dealer in May. Snyder, who is not cooperating, faces a mandatory 10 years on drug and gun charges related to the scheme. Federal prosecutors say a third co-defendant, suspected dealer Angel Ortiz, is set to plead guilty Tuesday. Snyder’s wife, former officer Mark Williams and the suspected heroin supplier, Miguel Santiago, have pleaded not guilty.
Wonder how long they’ll do for real…especially since one-time typically get off easy for ish like this.
