Uh oh…looks like we got us a lil girl fight brewing.

Terri J. Vaughn (of Steve Harvey fame) and Sheree Whitfield are having a quiet war of words in regards to acting, and the level of “professionalism” exhibited on an episode of “Real Housewives Of Atlanta”

Terri’s side:

So why did I join the girls on that episode of The Real Housewives of Atlanta? Well, being the creative and giving person I am, it was two-fold for me. 1) My friend Angela Barrows-Dunlap, who wrote the project that was being cast, called and asked me to conduct the auditions with her, and I’m a firm believer in supporting my friends when I can. 2) Angela wanted me to work with actors to help get them ready for the audition and I was happy to lend my time. I’d just started my acting school at Tree Sound Studios and wanted to see what the talent pool was like here in Atlanta.

First we had to find an actor to read opposite Sheree for her audition. It was a daunting task, but after I worked with different actors for hours we finally settled on someone. When Sheree arrived I was hopeful, because like I said, I love acting and I’m rooting for who ever is brave enough to give it there all. We started off nice and smooth, but I was completely honest and tried my best to guide her through the process. Now I know what reality TV is all about, so I wasn’t too shocked by her rebuttal against my notes. If it went easy-breezy there would be no “Reality Drama” to show, right? After about 20-30 minutes of gently going back and forth with her and still getting a very blah, painful and unrealistic performance I thought it would help to show her myself what we needed, hoping to push her buttons enough to get a better performance from her. That’s the one part the viewers saw.

Sad but true, after that episode aired I got so much heat on my Twitter that I became a trending topic on Twitter that night. It’s crazy where our interest as a culture has gone.

Sounds fair enough, now here’s Sheree’s side of the story:

Going into the audition, I was extremely nervous. This was my very first movie audition, and I was told by some of my actor friends that typically inside the audition room there will be the casting director, the person operating the camera, and maybe one more person. So, when I walk in and see a table full of angry looking people as well as people sitting on the left side of the room observing, it was really intimidating to say the least. Nothing like I expected! I gave my audition, which was a cold read, and I thought that would be it. But they decided that they wanted more camera time and asked me to do it over and over and over again with two other men as well the one guy that was shown. I was in there at least 15-20 minutes while they talked down, ridiculed, and yelled at me and/or the guys. Let me tell you, it was not a fun experience. I thought they were extremely unprofessional and rude. This totally could have become a “Who gonna check me, Boo” moment! I did all that I could to try to keep a pleasant look on my face. It’s amazing what people will do for some airtime. Terri Vaughn, an actress herself, should have definitely known better but she stooped just as low as the rest, if not lower. In an audition, you run the lines once maybe twice then they call the next person. From there you either get a call back or you don’t!

Looks like feathers are ruffled, and we all know that Sheree doesn’t think anyone can check her! But in this case we side with Terri, Sheree ain’t no damn actress…at least not a good one. Smh…

Who are you riding with??
