Unless You’re A Baller: 10 Hotels You’ll Probably Never Sleep In

- By Bossip Staff

Four Seasons Chiang Mai, Thailand

“Put aside any notions of what a chain hotel might be. This resort just outside of town has the unique feel of a contemporary jungle lodge–rooms have teak floors and Thai decorations, along with huge verandas overlooking mountains and terraced rice paddies,” says Beattie. “I learned a lot in the Thai cooking class I took here, and the spa is sublime.”

Fiji looks so amazing goodness gracious, always dreamed of going to india (they’ve got some real dough over there), st. lucia also looks beautiful

I’m a nature gal so the treehouse would be my fav. Kinda looks like the one my bro’s and I had growing up (minus the niceness LOL). I’ve been to St. Lucia and it’s gorgeous of course.

    • Sharock1

It was gorgeous, even though you didn’t have to pay 30k a night too.

There’s one or two hotels in Africa that should have been on the list. I was only impressed with a couple on here.

I enjoy the finer things but at the end of the day…a nice clean room, with a big tv, plush bed, a view, good customer service, and pool will do for me. I’m practical/traditoonal when it comes to things I’m not trying to own.

    • schoolteacher7

I agree. Africa is GORGEOUS!!! Egypt has a resort that would put some of these to shame! SO beautiful. Would love to go SOME day.

  • 7lady

  • Sharock1

    So, why show us?

  • Sharock1

This is pie-in-the sky piece and little tone deaf. How many black people in this economy have 30k a night to spend on a hotel room? Would it not have been more helpful to offer affordable hotels in place that have spectacular scenery? They do exist here and all over the world. 500 dollars for a couple of nights – maybe, but 30k?

  • YourDelusional01

    I meant room/Thank! Sorry

Bump that I’ve been to the Motherland and Ghana has some of the most amazing sights to see. Ummmm you couldnt PAY ME enough money to stay in a damn hotel under da sea. WTF, NO!

  • toi

gorgeous! there are some great resorts in turks & caicos too, at least 1 should have made the list

  • larita

Sharock1 I disagree with you. There are many black people who can afford $30,000 per week for luxury accomodations if they so choose. Business owners, investors, athletes, celebrities etc. For you to say that no black people can a afford it and that it is just a “pipe dream” is not only ignorant but also belittling to capabilities of blacks.

    • Sharock1

I did not say “no” black people. I asked “how many”. In THIS economy, I do not believe that MOST black people do not have 30k a night for hotel. That’s not ignorance. It’s realism. Perhaps very successful Business owners, savy investors (if you’ve been following Wall Street,it’ not that great a time to invest) athletes (they better be professional and hired by a major league, and major celebrities, etc – but not the average doctor, lawyer, teacher, college professor, or hard working regular person, etc. For these people, if they have the money, an INVESTMENT in a beach house, surrounded by fantastic scenery is the better, wiser choice. “Flash” money has sent more than a few people to the poor house. Two nights in a hotel for 30k a night is foolish.

Is there a non-snobby way to share this article?

  • darealwifey

Thanks for the list. It was fun to look at. I’m sure there are many other places that could’ve/should’ve made the list, but I know how to use Google if I want to see more. lol

  • ZeZee

They look very beautiful and exotic but. I don’t care how rich I get. I will not spend that much to sleep in a room for one night! They are very beautiful though! Just a waste of money! I know hotels that a way cheaper and they are just as exotic. With awesome views. You really have to dig if you love travel and adventure.

Please, these flop houses can’t hold a candle to THE SNOOTY FOX MOTEL on Western Blvd, off MLK.

  • loveistheanswer

yo this is sick………d undrwater resort sellllll off

  • Roseglamour

Nice, but not worth the price. Please, If I spend 30,000 dollars on a hotel room, I better be paying rent. The people that live in these hotels are the ones who are living off blood money made from back in the days as the world suffers to cater to their lifestyles.
