Bolitics: The Scary A** Republicans Worry That Their Candidates Won’t Be Able To Beat Obama In 2012

- By Bossip Staff

Damn it feels good to be a gangsta Democrat.

That leaves a front pack of four: former Massachusetts Governor Mitt Romney, former Minnesota Governor Tim Pawlenty, Mississippi Governor Haley Barbour, and former Speaker of the House Newt Gingrich of Georgia.

Normally, winnowing out pretenders would be a good thing. A smaller group of candidates, and a shorter primary than the 2008 cycle, helps limit self-inflicted damage and internal divisions in the party.

However, the dominant response from many Republicans to their current choices remains one of discontent. It has been this way for months, largely because each of the front-runners has a major flaw many think would keep them either from getting out of the primary or from beating President Obama should they win the nomination.

“There is this sense out there of, ‘So, anybody else?’” said Grover Norquist, head of Americans for Tax Reform.

A Pew poll released on Wednesday did not help GOP psyches: Results showed 47 percent of respondents hoped to see Obama elected to a second term versus 37 percent in favor of a generic Republican candidate. The Pew poll did note the lack of a consensus GOP candidate helped Obama’s numbers. But nonetheless, Obama’s numbers are similar to how George W. Bush polled about this far from his successful re-election campaign.

They been scared since Obama got in office. They knew damn well that McCain was their last hope of retaining control of the country. Most of the U.S. never even heard of some of these Republican candidates. Another 4 for Obama!

GOOD maybe now the republicans will give up this anti obama campaign while they can. Nobody cares or wants to hear about their lies anymore and their constant obama bashing.

Obama will win reelection and by then the economy will become better ..It usually takes 2 to 3 years for the policies to make a real difference so we will see

What has obama done for ya’ll that would make you want him to be re-elected? He is a puppet with strings just like any other president. His policies haven’t done anything yet, and don’t seem to be working in the countries favor. I agree that there may not be a better candidate YET, but remember how barack came out of nowhere and two years later he was president? Same thing could happen….I bet ya’ll still think “yes we can” too lol…cut it out. Until someone tells me how he has brought troops home like he said, created a viable healthcare plan like he said, or anything else he promised during 2008, then why would you want him as president again?? If obama was a white man, would you really want him re-elected??

You need to grow up and get a life.

  • ms.brilly

Well, just because there isn’t a viable republican candidate (yet) doesn’t mean there won’t be a viable democratic challenger to President Obama. Not sure if Obama would get my vote in 2012, we’ll have to wait and see.

  • Ken

Please let’s be accurate. Obama has brought Military members home. I am one of them. His policies have pulled us out of one of the worst recessions in US history. Don’t fall in love with Fox news one liners. If the left are annoyed by him and the right are critiquing him ..he might acting like a REAL president. To be clear, US image improved, economy improved, Health care 26 million added, Gays treated fairly, international appeal towards muslims improved, Afghanistan Surge is working…Deficit still very high so he created a bill to curb govt spending! Don’t believe the hype he’s done an above average job.

    • Ing Stew

Ken, I totally agree with you…well said….you could not have said it any better.
OBAMA 2012!!! All the way…better yet landslide!!!!

And for the Republicans..if you have nothing to bring to the table sit down…..the more you all try to bring him down you all are digging yourself deeper in the pit hole. AMEN!!!!

    • KnowledgeFromTheShadows

Exactly!!! People need to realize that the media only talks about him when they disagree with him…which makes it look as if he doesn’t do ANYTHING right. If you wanna know just how much he has accomplished (which is a LOT), look it up for yourselves.

  • Prettyrenee

I know one thing. If us guys in the military don’t get paid like the REPUBLICANS are threatening to do, they will lose a lot of support from us…

  • Unico

In my opinion I honestly believe that the USA can not handle another Republican in office, at least not for another 4 years. Just look at the years with one Republican did: started a senseless war, ruined Americas image, and drove its economy into the ground.

Obama got handed a wounded country and people have the nerve to criticize him for what is wrong when he wasn’t even office!
