Jim Jones must really think his Capo status is more than the name of his new album and his pretend Dipset responsibilities.
Bossip has obtained exclusive details regarding the rapper’s arrest earlier today in New York City.
According to the NYPD, Jones was arrested around 12pm in Downtown Manhattan after being pulled over for driving his 2007 Bentley in a bus-only lane on Broadway. During the course of the routine traffic stop, Jones was unable to provide the arresting officer with his driver’s license, which, as it turns out, is currently suspended.
He was charged with driving with a suspended license, aggravated unlicensed operation and failure to obey a traffic device.
Jones was issued a desk appearance, which means he will be released today. At press time, however, it is unclear whether Jones remains in custody.
His court date was not immediately available.
Jones’ fifth studio album, Capo is set to be released next Tuesday, April 5, via E1 Records.
