Yea that is what $700 get you in NYC. DUHHHH!!!!

    • AMBER

but theres no kitchen so they need to knock atleast $70 dollers off that $700.

    • craziness

it would be cheaper and better to live outside in central park

  • I'm Just Me...Keeping It Real Since: 1983...Bossip is f*cking with me today :( :(

    What in the hell!!

  • Marquis de Sade

    Only in New York. πŸ˜†

    • =D

lmao! that iz a dumb face!!

  • I'm Just Me...Keeping It Real Since: 1983...Bossip is f*cking with me today :( :(

Is this actually legal?? This doesn’t seem habitable.

    • Marquis de Sade

In Los Angeles, it wouldn’t be (even romotely) legal. πŸ˜†

    • I'm Just Me...Keeping It Real Since: 1983...Bossip is f*cking with me today :( :(

I don’t think this is even legal in NYC. I am from there and I have seen some small apartments but this is ridiculous. Then again with the overcrowding that is occuring there, the standards have apparently changed.

    • Trisha

I Think as long as it has a window, its legal

  • http://chachafance.info ChaCha Fance

I think it’s kind of cute lol. It’s not something I’d want to live in, but more power to her.

  • Marquis de Sade

My bedroom walk-in closet is bigger than this chick’s apt.

  • Tiphanie

    That’s a dorm room right there…

    • natalie

it really is. my dorm 500 a month and bigger that.

  • Ash

Lol I don’t think it’s that bad. The bathroom would probably get me though.

    • Marquis de Sade

Yep. She would definitely have to ADHERE to the DUNK n’ FLUSH rule while takin’ a No. 2. That place is entirely too small to allow the smell to fester. Ugh!

  • lily(bk'sfinest)

$700.00 for a closet?! This lady is insane!! She clearly just wants to live on the UWS, and must not be able to afford the going rate for a studio or one-bedroom($1800.00-$2500.00)

  • Cinnamon Swirl

I think she is living a lot better than people with more space. She saves money, is surrounded by things to do, has more freedom to travel than those that have a huge space to care for. Very smart woman!

    • Marquis de Sade

Nawwww, that’s PENNY PINCHIN’ JEW LOGIC. πŸ˜†

    • lily(bk'sfinest)

How does limited living space, afford one more freedom to travel?

    • severine

CInnamon Swirl I totally agree! She is in a PRIME location and paying next to nothing in rent. She probably doesn’t even spend half her time in that place anyway. If I had her organization skills I would try it. I’d KILL to be that close to Central Park (runs every morning!! woohoo!) AND live in the UWS. Mad Kudos to her!

    • TriniGlamazon

I totally agree with you. I mean the people in NYC are primarily paying for the location anyway!

Cinnamon, don’t listen to the sadistic commentator named Marques De Sade. His comment is indicative of why black people continue struggle. It’s not Jew logic, it’s called SACRIFICE, and HUMILITY, which is something we; in modern society, have yet to come to terms with. We constantly keep ourselves in debt and out of touch with the rest of the world because we have conditioned ourselves to keep up with the Jones and conform to the ridiculous notion of our spend happy status quo. This single woman has made (in my opinion) a financially and socially sound decision to reside at that apartment. New York (Manhattan) is a very, very expensive place to live. Think of it this way…there are many Americans who, granted have more square feet of living space, but I bet their quality of life do not equal hers. Believe me, being Jewish has nothing to do with making a wise decision.

  • team nymphis

shxt! You prolly have to eat a big mac out in the hallway.

    • lily(bk'sfinest)

      *LMAO*

  • wuzzy

I can’t sleep in that bed! Mst be really hard to be so close to the roof argh!

  • anon

@Cinnamon Swirl if you think this woman is smart for paying 700 a month for what’s not technically even a studio I’m worried for your common sense.

    • severine

Are you even a New Yorker?? Because you have NO IDEA what rent is like in Manhattan. They charge a GRIP for a tiny studio, and you have “roomates” to boot (rats and/or roaches). The lady is smart and is making it work for her. And the UWS area is a fun dynamic area to live, you’d never be bored!

  • Lacorsha

She is just cheap. I’m sure she has money and is getting a large inheritance from her family.

  • Marquis de Sade

Well her last name is COHEN, which is Jewish, so what does that tell you? πŸ˜†

    • Lacorsha

It tells me she has money and is most definitely getting a inheritance from her family but she just wants to be cheap.

  • Lacorsha

What can you rent for $950 in NYC?

  • tee08

ugh… the tiny window and bed afew inches from the ceiling would be my breaking point

  • I RUN NEW YORK

$700 a month in manhattan is dirt cheap. What do you expect to live in? a palace? Also the location is amazing! 1 block from central park!!

  • tron1040

Damn that place so small she gotta go outside to change her mind.

    • aishab

      funny

  • I'm Just Me...Keeping It Real Since: 1983...Bossip is f*cking with me today :( :(

A studio on the West Side of the Bronx.

  • anon

@Lacorsha if you gotta pay 700 a month to live in a hole/closet with no kitchen or bedroom just to claim you live in a NYC its time to move. I’m Chi Town born and raised and you can’t rent beautiful apartment in reasonable and safe areas for 800+

  • dezy

Now she just being silly; know dang well living like that is irrational

  • Team nymphis

damn! That place so small if you dropped a cup of water it would look like katrina hit

  • DR.FUNK

New York-and especially Manhattan-is NOT worth the premium you OVERPAY to “live” there.Don’t take my word for though…just ask all the people who paid seven figures for one bedroom condos that they can’t get rid of these days.Ask the people who have taken 7 figure price chops on the overpriced chicken coops they bought 5 years ago. This clown is stuck in a time / mind warp about how crucial it is to be in Manhattan.Sad.

  • Jeweleast9

In the area of NYC that she lives, it’s a miracle that she’s paying only $700 for that closet. People pay over $400 a month just to park their cars. She actually has a room. May not be comfortable, but it’s clean and she’s o.k. living there so good for her. I don’t think I could do it though.
