Los Angeles Dodgers hold a benefit fundraiser for fan Brian Stow who was beaten into a coma

The Los Angeles Dodgers will hold a fundraiser Monday for a San Francisco Giants fan who was brutally beaten last month.

Donations for Bryan Stow will be accepted as part of a “drive-through” benefit at Dodger Stadium. The proceeds will be donated to a trust fund established for Stow and his family.

Two men attacked Stow, 41, in the Dodgers Stadium parking lot after the March 31 season opener against the Giants. Stow, a Giants fan and a paramedic who traveled from Santa Cruz to make his first-ever visit to Dodgers Stadium, remains hospitalized with brain damage.

A $100,000 reward has been issued for information leading to the arrest and conviction of the suspects, officials said.

Authorities said the two suspects, both between 18 and 25, wore thin mustaches. One had numerous tattoos on his neck, and the other had a goatee, authorities said.

The Dodgers officials say they have beefed up security and will not tolerate any obnoxious behavior from fans.

The most visible safety measure will be a significant increase in the presence of uniformed police officers patrolling the stadium during games, Los Angeles Police Chief Charlie Beck said last week.

“When you go into Dodgers Stadium you are going to meet a Los Angeles police officer. When you leave Dodgers Stadium, you will bid farewell to a Los Angeles police officer,” Beck said.

From what we’ve heard, Dodgers fans are pretty annoying and particularly aggressive. Hopefully this calms down some of the BS.
