A “Lil Positivity” FOX Decides Postpone Storm Themed Episodes Of ‘Family Guy’, ‘American Dad’, And ‘The Cleveland Show’

- By Bossip Staff

Wow, talk about bad timing…

This Sunday, Fox was planning to air cross-over episodes of “Family Guy,” “American Dad” and “The Cleveland Show” revolving around a hurricane.

In light of the recent deadly storms and tornado damage in the Southeast, the network has decided to postpone the episodes until next season.

The concept was to have the hurricane affect characters on all three animated programs, all a brainchild of Seth MacFarlane.

In a story in Hollywood Reporter, MacFarlane said Fox Entertainment president Kevin Reilly wanted a theme night like they used to for sitcoms in the 1980s.

Said MacFarlane of the episodes inspiration:

“There were talks initially of doing a crossover with all the characters from all the shows but it became a little bit of a conundrum because you have three different staffs, each of whom is used to writing three different sets of characters,” he said. “This idea of an outside force that sweeps its way through all three shows seemed like a cool way to accomplish that.”

A brief outline of each show’s plot is as follows:

Starting at 8:30 on “The Cleveland Show,” it will slam into Stoolbend, where the Brown and Tubbs families are trying to kick back and enjoy their vacation.

At 9, it blows into Quahog on “Family Guy,” where Brian responds as he often does, with self-medication of questionable merit.

By 9:30, it has crashed through Langley Falls, where the stalwart citizens of “American Dad” decide to stay home and ride it out. This decision, like Brian’s, proves problematic.

Wow, crazy timing. But shout out to Fox for taking the time to not be insensitive a**holes and put these shows on the air now when so many people are suffering.

Do you think they did the right thing in postponing these shows??
