Cry Me A River: Out Of Pocket Oklahoma Republican Apologizes To Blacks And Women For Her Dumba*sness

- By Bossip Staff

A tissue for her sorrows? Naaaaaaaaaaaaaah!

Sorry but we don’t feel bad for this broad — Oklahoma State Rep. Sally Kern — in the least. After making anti-gay comments in 2008 to the effect of “homosexuality is the biggest threat to America, even moreso than Islam and terrorism” (yeah double the ignorance) the Oklahoma state legislator is finally backpedaling from the microphone after making more ignant a*s comments.

Namely the following comments which were made on April 27, 2011, while debating in favor of SJR 15, a proposed constitutional amendment that would eliminate Affirmative Action in Oklahoma, Kern said:

“We have a high percentage of blacks in prison, and that’s tragic, but are they in prison just because they are black or because they don’t want to study as hard in school? I’ve taught school, and I saw a lot of people of color who didn’t study hard because they said the government would take care of them.”

During the same debate, Kern also stated that

“Women usually don’t want to work as hard as a man… women tend to think a little bit more about their family, wanting to be at home more time, wanting to have a little more leisure time.”

When it came to the anti-gay comments three years ago Kern responded with, “I said nothing that was not true” and refused to apologize. This time around sh*t is not so sweet. The president of the Oklahoma chapter of the NAACP and the chairman of the Oklahoma Democratic Party have called for Kern to resign. The result?

Kern apologized while CRYING on the House floor Monday — then voted along with the rest of the Oklahoma House for her own reprimand.

Hahahahahaha we love it! This broad gave HERSELF a Ho Sit Down.

But is that really good enough? We think she should resign.

Sad part of it is, she wasnt too far off the mark about blacks not wanting to study as hard. Unless its referring to rap music or basketball that is. I have a friend who has the most annoying habit of leaving ESPN running all day like its the news. I’m just saying.

  • noble

Riiiiiight since most whitepeople have Wall St Journal Report running all day on their tvs *blank stare*.

Isn’t amazing when someone is caught making a racist comment, they think a retraction or a tearful apology suffices, in a word rubbish. Are you really sorry or is it really you’re sorry you got found out; my money is on the latter.

If this bytch thinks women don’t work as hard as men and want more leisure time, then she needs to step the f*ck down and let a man do her job, cause I’m sure the tax payers don’t wanna pay the salary of a lazy Rep….what dumb piece od shyt!

i think we women work harder than men. Not only do we work outside the home but we work extra hard in the home. there is no leisure time when u have a husband and children. For her thinking and statements she should definitely resign. Maybe she has leisure time in her home but im sure not one woman on this blog does.

    she was telling the truth.

  • Did I say that

“I saw a lot of people of color who didn’t study hard because they said the government would take care of them.”

Now, have you all ever heard ONE BLACK person say that? Let alone some high school or junior high student.

Tat woman made up that quote b/c that is the quote that conservative, white Republicans use all of the time.

I’ll bet my left NUT if ONE BLACK STUDENT ever uttered the words: “The government is going to take care of me.”

Cosign 100% @ Did I say that. And the scariest of all to me is these are our teachers. This is what they think of Black people. This woman taught school for TWENTY YEARS. Does it sound like she was out to *help* Black people?

  • noble
