A Lil Positivity: Dallas Maverick Shawn Marion Joins the Fight Against …

- By Bossip Staff

You all might remember this NBA star from the “Christmas to Remember” he sponsored last year – in which 10 single mothers, including one Bossip reader, were able to provide a happy holiday for their children – thanks to Shawn Marion. Fast forward a few months and here he is doing yet another good deed: promoting HIV/AIDS awareness!

Dallas Maverick forward Shawn Marion has become the latest celebrity to publicly join in the fight against HIV/AIDS by partnering with Until There’s A Cure® (UTAC).

Marion is lending his support to assist in the HIV/AIDS struggle in order to spread awareness and educate people to get more involved in HIV/AIDS testing regardless of age. Until There’s A Cure is a national organization dedicated to eradicating HIV/AIDS by raising awareness and funds to combat the pandemic.

“I am very excited to partner with UTAC and lend my hand in the fight to help inform our nation about HIV/AIDS,” said Marion. “I encourage everyone to go out and get tested, purchase a bracelet and help spread the word.”

Marion joins an impressive list of celebrities who have endorsed Until There’s A Cure by wearing ‘The Bracelet’. Celebrity supporters include Jessica Alba, Aisha Hinds, Kevin Bacon, Michael Phelps, Kim Kardashian, Laila Ali, Tim Lincecum, Kerri Walsh, Tony Hawk, Carmelo Anthony, and many others.

Now Mr. Marion wants you to help him in his cause and buy a bracelet from Until.org to support HIV/AIDS charities across the world. So far, the sale of these bracelets have generated more than $9,000,000 in which all proceeds have been used to fund prevention education, care services and vaccine development.

The Bracelet…
Wear it in memory of those who have fought the war called AIDS.
Wear it as a reminder of those who today continue this fight.
Wear it in support of vaccine development that will stop HIV infection.
Wear it Until There’s A Cure!

Well now … isn’t he just the gift that keeps on giving? But seriously, this is a really good cause to donate a little cash to! So, order your bracelet from Until.org today!
