Last night, event producers Shanti Das and Marlon Nichols along with over 300 Atlanta tastemakers and music industry insiders celebrated the One-Year Anniversary of ATL LIVE ON THE PARK.

Heralded as the most exclusive live music showcase in the city, R&B group NEXT reunited to headline the show while author/musician Fonzworth Bentley wowed the crowd with an expertly choreographed routine.

Fonzworth, an Atlanta native, took ATLiens back to the old feel of the city with two dancers who joined him in rag timing and bankhead bouncing while NEXT dispelled rumors of any R&B beef by bringing Q Parker of 112 onstage to sing.

JIVE Records introduced their new hip-hop duo Big Heed & Alien who rocked the crowd to their hit “Tipsy” while Alien once again assaulted his drum set playing blind folded and with one hand.

Attendees included DTP’s Chaka Zulu, Ron Devoe, Devyne Stephens, Roger Bobb, Sheree Whitfield who accompanied her ex-husband Bob Whitfield, Fonzworth Bentley’s wife Faune Watkins and Usher’s ex-wife Tameka Raymond.

The next ATL LIVE ON THE PARK is June 14. Visit http://www.atlliveonthepark.eventbrite.com for tickets and info.
