French Politician Previously Described As “Rutting Chimpanzee” Now Faces Charges In Rape Of African Hotel Maid

- By Bossip Staff

And this is the guy who was supposed to give the French President a run for his money in the next election. SMH. Dominique Strauss-Kahn, a prominent French economist and politician, and until this weekend Managing Director of the International Monetary Fund was arrested at New York’s JFK airport on Saturday, just as his flight to France was preparing to take off. Strauss-Kahn who is primarily referred to as DSK, is being accused of raping the hotel maid in the room where he was staying:

The charges against Strauss-Kahn detail an alleged violent assault of a maid in his $3,000-a-night suite at the luxury Sofitel hotel near Manhattan’s Times Square earlier that afternoon.

The source said the housekeeper entered room 2806 believing it was empty and that Strauss-Kahn then emerged naked from the bathroom, chased her down and sexually assaulted her. The woman said she broke away and fled, reporting the incident to other hotel staff, who called police.

The criminal complaint charges Strauss-Kahn with two counts of criminal sexual act in the first degree, one count of attempted rape, sexual abuse in the first degree, unlawful imprisonment, sexual abuse in the third degree and forcible touching.

In court papers, prosecutors allege Strauss-Kahn forcibly touched the housekeeper’s breasts, attempted to pull off her panty hose, twice “forcibly made contact with his p*nis and the informant’s mouth” and that “the defendant engaged in oral sexual conduct and anal sexual conduct with another person by forcible compulsion.”

Strauss-Kahn’s lawyers are trying to argue that the incident may have been consensual, but the judge overseeing the case denied him bail today because of the potential flight-risk he poses.

This isn’t DSK’s first time being accused of rubbing the fairer sex the wrong way:

Further allegations were made Monday against Strauss-Kahn, when French writer Tristane Banon’s lawyer told reporters she was set to make a formal complaint to the authorities, alleging the politician sexually assaulted her in 2002.

In a 2007 television program, the 31-year-old novelist and journalist claimed Strauss-Kahn — whose name was removed for transmission — had assaulted her, describing him as a “rutting chimpanzee” that she was forced to violently fight off. However, she did not press charges at the time.

Banon’s lawyer, David Koubbi, told AFP, “We’re planning to make a complaint. I am working with her.” He added that his client’s mother, Anne Mansouret, a regional politician in Strauss-Kahn’s Socialist Party, previously persuaded her not to pursue the matter.

Separately, Strauss-Kahn admitted in 2008 to “an error of judgment” over an affair with IMF subordinate Piroska Nagy.

SMH… This is why you have to press charges. So animals who rape are not left to roam free and rape again!

The 32-year-old housekeeper at the center of the allegations identified Strauss-Kahn in a police lineup Sunday.

RMC also reported that the Frenchman’s lawyers, who are set to cast doubt on the alleged victim’s motives, were apparently surprised to see a “not very seductive” woman turn up for the identification parade.

Strauss-Kahn was due to be arraigned Sunday, but the court appearance was delayed after the IMF managing director agreed to a medical examination.

Cops obtained a warrant to gather potential DNA evidence, and it was believed they were looking for any scratches on his body that could contain DNA traces from the victim.

This is terrible, how dare they make these kind of comments about an alleged victim. As if someone being “not very seductive” rules them out as a rape victim! If the physical evidence is damning enough that won’t count for isht.

As leader of France’s Socialist Party, Strauss-Kahn was regarded as the leading contender to run against Sarkozy in the 2012 presidential election.

A father of four, Strauss-Kahn took over as head of the 187-nation IMF in 2007, and his term was scheduled to run until September 2012.

Police made the arrest at John F. Kennedy Airport on board an Air France jet just minutes before it was due to depart for Paris around 4:40pm local time Saturday.

Crazy… He almost got away. The details on this are bugged. Anal rape? Rutting chimpanzee? We really feel for that woman. His lawyers are already eager to make it into a “setup” situation but it just seems, with all the past allegations, like he has some serious issues that finally caught up with him.
