New Black Kid On The Block: Marvin Ambrosius “Download Me”

- By Bossip Staff

OOOWEEE! We didn’t know Marsha Ambrosius had a man banger for a little bro! And even better — he’s also been gifted with a great voice.

Here’s a lil more info on Marsha’s bro, Marvin:

At a time when pop music is so predictably formulated and when so many genres are crossing over into the pop realm, the essence of quality RnB performer who can appeal to the real RnB enthusiasts but also make it in the commercial music market is in dire need. This is where rising RnB star Ambrosius, real name Marvin Ambrosius, comes into his own. He is working on an album with independent label Praxis Records to appeal to a variety of music lovers who appreciate classic sounding and contemporary RnB in all its guises and cross over fusions. The Ambrosius surname may strike up some familiarity in many soulful circles, not just because it sounds like its derivative meaning of divinity and the food of the gods, but also due to the fact that he is the younger brother to one of the UKs most Successful soulful exports, Marsha Ambrosius (Formerly of Floetry). Having written and sung on tracks for Michael Jackson, Justn Timberlake, Busta Rhymes,The Game, Common, and Nas, and after getting out of a deal with Dr Dre due to some differences in creative direction, Marsha is due to be releasing her debut album under J Records/Sony (Alicia Keys, Whitney Houston, Jamie Foxx, Jazmine Sulivan, Jennifer Hudson, Mario, Monica etc). It is therefore a great time for her brother Ambrosius to step in to the limelight and maintain the talent that is associated with the family name. “I have always known what my brother was capable of. He has contributed to some of my biggest hits with some of the biggest artists around. It was only a matter of time before his material would get noticed. I have been his biggest fan and am really glad that its now his time to come out as a solo artist. There are so many of his songs people need to hear. The collaboration with writer/arranger DJ Funksy on tracks like “Hearin’ Me” and “Can’t Give Her Up” demonstrates Marvin’s vocal abilities and range. It’s got my seal of approval and I expect big things from him.” (Marsha Ambrosius)
