One of the legends of television has passed away.
Before all of these wack cop and detective shows you’ve been watching every day, there was Columbo. He was swagged out in his trench coat and was able to solve any crime in the course of an hour – commercials included.
Peter Falk, the actor that played Columbo died after a long battle with Alzheimer’s. He was born in New York and at the age of three, had surgery to remove his eye, which was replaced by a glass eye. The eye was usually the source of many of Falk’s jokes. That didn’t slow him down as he landed a role as one of the most popular television characters of all time.
R.I.P. to the coolest TV cop ever to do it.
