- By Bossip Staff

This solo artist didn’t ride solo. Guyana first started off in a female R&B group, toured Europe, and then later decided to join an all female Hip Hop group all before making the move to do on her own thing. Guyana was born in New York–The Mecca of Hip Hop, and for three years as child lived in her country Guyana which is where her stage name stems from. She knew that she had the music bug when she was about thirteen years of age. Guyana was a big fan of Missy Elliot, Destiny’s Child. And Lauryn Hill. In school she was in chorus, took vocal lessons, and in Junior High School has solos in the traveling choir. This 25 year old had such a passion for music that she made the decision to forgo her studies to become an attorney and instead pursue a career in music. Guyana is now singed to B Major Music Group and anticipates a full length album release soon.
