There’s only so long rich people can pretend, before their “hunger for more” gets the best of them.
Last week, Jay-Z and his Rocawear cohorts thought creating an “Occupy All Streets” t-shirt in “support” of the Occupy Movement would be a good look. There was one catch though: the proceeds from the shirts weren’t meant for anyone but Hov and his cronies.
Needless to say, the Occupy Movement shut that isht down with the quickness.
Jay-Z and Rocawear have removed their Occupy Wall St. themed t-shirts from Rocawear.com — after the rap mogul came under heavy fire for profiting off the protests, without donating anything to the cause.
Jay-Z was photographed wearing the “Occupy All Streets” shirts earlier this week and began selling them on his website. Checking the site today … the shirts are now gone.
Before the t-shirts were pulled … TMZ spoke with Grim, one of the leaders of the Occupy movement, who told us, “Jay-Z, as talented as he is, has the political sensibility of a hood rat and is a scrotum. To attempt to profit off of the first important social moment of 50 years with an overpriced piece of cotton is an insult to the fight for economic civil rights known as #occupywallstreet.”
Hold up. We understand why y’all are mad, but “a hood rat” though? What part of the 99 is THAT???
