Nike Won't Change The Name Of Joe Paterno Child Development Center

You read that right: The Joe Paterno Child Development Center. Horrible, horrible idea.

The good folks at Nike are huge Joe Paterno supporters, but they’re taking it a bit far. In Oregon, there’s a Joe Paterno Child Development center that Nike built. Now, in light of the recent Penn St. scandal, people are clamoring for there to be some change. But Nike is sticking with its man:

“Our relationship with Penn State remains unchanged,” Nike said in a statement. “We are deeply disturbed by the claims brought forth in the indictments. We will continue to monitor the situation closely.”

How much freaking closer do you need to look at it? Joe Pa was complicit in a scandal that covered up the molestation of little boys!!! So, what more needs to be investigated? We hope someone boycotts that place until the name is changed.

At least there’s no Jerry Sandusky Child Care centers opening up anytime soon.
