Quote Of The Day: Newt Gingrich Says “Poor Children From The Hood Have No Habits Of Working”… Is He Lying? [Video]

- By Bossip Staff

Is this guy talking out of his a$$ or is there some truth to what he’s saying???

GOP hopeful Newt Gingrich defended his stance against certain child labor laws during a campaign stop in Iowa Thursday, saying that children born into poverty aren’t accustomed to working unless it involves crime.

“Really poor children, in really poor neighborhoods have no habits of working and have nobody around them who works so they have no habit of showing up on Monday,” Gingrich claimed.

“They have no habit of staying all day, they have no habit of I do this and you give me cash unless it is illegal,” he added.

The former House Speaker’s comments come weeks after he came under fire for saying laws preventing child labor in America were “truly stupid” and suggested that schools fire janitors and replace them with working class students.

Gingrich is on a three-day campaign swing through the Hawkeye State, where he has surged to the top of the polls.

He sounds like a complete douchelord… but the reality is, there are plenty of folks that feel like him.

Well, unfortunately what he said is true. You can’t get mad at tht. If the mother is on welfare and the dad is a drug dealer then the child isn’t seeing positive role models. They aren’t learning how to work and earn a living. They are learning to scam the system and sell illegal drugs. Ppl can’t get mad and act like, oh thts not true when we all know it is.

From his point of view, its Racist. But this is not a lie because I’m from the hood where I didn’t have no Role Models at all Mother or Father. So I became a product of my environment.I’m now Reformed and try my best to avoid the pitfalls that awaits us blackmen on a daily basis. In closing,Whites should be the last people on earth to criticize the poor because they do a damn good job at making sure the poor stays poor.

What about all the kids from the hood who do work hard? Screw them? bus drivers, postal workers, warehouse workers, teachers, grocery store workers, the lady who drives the tour bus @ the zoo, security gaurds, autoshop machanics…. A lot of people live in the hood and teach their kids to be good people. I have two girlfriends who were raised in the hood, one is a lawyer the other is married with four kids is a stay at home mom, with a masters degree. How can you count out all the good people because others act stupid. Every other day on the news some rich (white or black) jerk kills their wife, molest somebodies kids, steals all the money they can hussle out of folks……. We dont say all people with money are spineless coldblooded killers…..

The statement IS racist unless he addresses the racism that KEEPS many people of color EXCLUDED from jobs and education. In 2011, its an insulting sterotype to paint EVERY parent in the ‘hood’ as unemployed an on welfare. IT’S NOT TRUE. And the very suggestion this white man makes to have poor children as janitors in schools is disgusting. A man that can deliver divorce papers to a dying woman on her death bed has NOTHING of importance to say that I would EVER want to here. He’s a sick racist with stupid and sick ideas. OBAMA 2012!
