We don’t think the folks cuttin’ the check are gonna like that Charles…
During what he thought was a commercial break at the Atlanta Hawks and Miami Heat game last night, Charles Barkley’s mic was still on when he made some not-so-nice comments about his newest endorsement deal.
Charles Barkley, never one to shy away from controversy, may get more than he bargained for after his off-air comments during Thursday’s telecast of the Hawks-Miami Heat game went public.
In a video posted by a Twitter user, the former NBA star holds court during a commercial break, calling his new job as spokesman for Weight Watchers a scam. “I thought this was the greatest scam going, getting paid to watch sports, this Weight Watchers thing is a bigger scam.”
The “Round Mound of Rebound” then went on to talk isht about the Hawks:
“Man, I can’t stand to watch this Atlanta Hawks team play. … The Hawks … got nothing but a bunch of nice guys. If I were the Hawks … I’d try to do anything to get Dwight Howard.”
Fellow TNT analyst Reggie Miller chimes in, “He doesn’t want to come here.”
While this lil’ slip up might get ol’ Chuck in trouble with the brass at Weight Watchers, we’re sure he didn’t mean that losing weight is a scam, but rather the fact that he is getting PAID to lose weight. At least for his sake he better have meant that if wants those fat checks to continue clearing.
Sidebar: We agree with him about the Atlanta Hawks. SMH
