Men Create Real Booby Traps In Public Park, Get Arrested

Benjamin Rutkowski and Kai Christensen were arrested in Utah for Reckless Endangerment when it was discovered they had set trip wires, sharpened sticks and a swinging rock in Provo Canyon Park to harm children and families:

“The Fort,” one of many crude shelters in the Big Springs area of Provo Canyon, is frequented by families and children.

The booby trap suspended above the entrance to The Fort.

A tripline designed to trigger the booby trap, which would swing into someone’s head.

Sharpened sticks at the entrance of The Fort.

The 2 sick a$$ men rigged trip wires and balls with spikes and other very, very dangerous stuff and then just left it for someone unsuspecting to walk into. Thankfully, no one was hurt. There was potential for someone to be brutally maimed. Both men have been charged and arrested.

It’s too bad that the arrested men couldn’t have put their booby trap-making skills to better use. Doesn’t the army have a need for guys like these? Maybe not, but there has to be some way for them to make crazy booby traps for good rather than evil.
