Black Mafia Family Film In The Works

You been missin’ Meech and them while they’ve been locked up? Looks like you’ll be able to get your fix soon enough from the big screen, where Program Pictures is set to deliver the visuals that tell the epic legend of one of the most notorious black crime families.

BOSSIP can tell you EXCLUSIVELY that director Benny Boom is currently in negotiations to direct the untitled Black Mafia Family (BMF) story.

The film tells the story of Demetrius “Big Meech” Flenory and his drug trafficking empire known as the Black Mafia Family (BMF), a group known for romanticizing the extravagant, flamboyant lifestyle that hip-hop is known for today. Taking their mantra from the popular gangster movie Scarface, Big Meech’s life often imitated art, with multi-million dollar parties, fleets of exotic cars, and unlimited access to drugs, jewelry and weapons. During his reign, Big Meech became the highest-earning black drug lord in US history.

BOSSIP has confirmed the film will be produced by Program Pictures’ LT Hutton and Morgan Creek’s David Robinson and executive produced by Tammy Cowins. LT Hutton and David Robinson are also producing the Morgan Creek biopic “Tupac”, which will start production later this year.
