D.B. Woodside is not ashamed to admit that he was happy to see Stacey Dash leave “Single Ladies.”
Some fans of the show might still be adjusting to Stacey’s abrupt exit from the VH1 series, but D.B. told radio personality Egypt Sherrod that it was a much-needed change.
“Last year was very difficult at times to go to set with all that tension that was going on with Stacey. So I wish her well. I’m sure she’s off doing something else,” he said.
When asked if Stacey was really all that bad to work with, D.B. implied that it wasn’t exactly a walk in the park to work with the Clueless star.
“Yes, she was. I don’t want to cause any trouble, but I, for one, am happy she’s gone. It’s a much better place to be. It’s a much better set,” he said bluntly. “I’m just going to keep it straight. I’m just going to keep it real. I am happy that she’s not there anymore.”
In fact, D.B. was so glad to see her go that he had to raise a toast. “When I first heard that Stacey was leaving, I went out and celebrated and had some drinks,” said the actor, who revealed that he wasn’t terribly concerned that his show would be canceled.
