Jada Pinkett-Smith And Chris Rock Hit The Madagascar 3 Red Carpet

Chris Rock and Jada Pinkett Smith have been putting in much promo work as stars in the new Madagascar 3: Europe’s Most Wanted film which is in theaters today.  Pookie hit up the Today Show earlier this week to talk being shunned for the part of the lion and why he was perfectly fine with his role in the end.

Is it just us or does the splitsville rumor mill have Will and Jada on a damage control rampage lately?

Check the gallery below for pics of the Rocks and the Smiths having some family fun on the red carpet and hit the flip to hear Chris throw some light-hearted swirl shade to the President.

Comedian Chris Rock lends his voice to a zebra in the animated “Madagascar” movies in honor of President Obama, he said on “The Today Show” on Thursday.

“I wanted to be the lion, you know, king of the jungle and all that but that didn’t work out,” Rock said. “Snake is always good. You know, scare people. Ssss. But I’ll take the zebra.”

“In honor of our zebra president,” he went on. “Black and white, white and black. … I love our president, but he’s black and white. He appeals to all. And that’s what I am going for.”

“Have you mentioned this to him, by the way? Because I wonder how he’d react to the analogy you’re making,” host Ann Curry said.

“I don’t know,” Rock replied. “We ignore the president’s whiteness, but it’s there. It’s there.”
