Katy Perry Unsure About American Idol Judge Job
There’s been lots of talk lately about who will replace Bronx-born banger Jennifer Lopez as a judge on next season’s American Idol show alongside current judges Randy Jackson and Aerosmith frontman Steven Tyler.
Among those rumored to be in the running to fill J.Lo’s six-inch stiletto’s is pop princess Katy Perry. But with a new movie in theaters and other plans for the future, the purple-haired potty-mouthed singer says she’s not sure if ‘Idol’ is the right move for her.
As Access Hollywood reports, Katy Perry said of “American Idol,” and the reports in the media: “People have reached out to me about the possibility of being involved, and it’s not right for me yet. I have ideas for two or three big, creative things, and I want to be able to fulfill those ideas.”
Katy Perry is a hugely successful singer. Her most recent album, “Teenage Dream” became an instant success, and featured a number of top singles, and her “California Dreams” tour was a great event and a hit with fans around the world. There is no doubt that Perry fans are excited to see what the future holds for the singer, and it remains to be seen if “American Idol’ will be in that future at some point.
Other celebs rumored to be in the running include Mariah Carey, Adam Lambert, Charlie Sheen and Fergie. Who’d you like to see replace Jenny from the block on the Idol chopping block?
