Surprising Black Republicans

Nicki Minaj stirred up quite the fuss this week when she was talking about voting for Mitt Romney. It surprised people that someone seemingly liberal would be voting Republican. But here’s the kick: plenty of Black celebrities have shown support to the Republican party. Go figure.

The Rock – He’s a registered Republican that spoke at the 2000 RNC.

50 Cent – He once told GQ that he saw so much of himself in George W. Bush because of Dubya’s ruthless ways.

LL Cool J – He supported Republican George Pataki and was at the RNC in 2004.

Karl Malone – He’s a registered Republican and member of the NRA.

Don King – He’s always supported the Republicans and spoke highly of Dubya.

Charles Barkley – He’s always said he’s a Republican. Why? Because he’s rich.
