This kinda cold is gonna take more than some Theraflu to fix.
Tulsa Woman Locked In Deep Freezer For 5 Days Avoiding Tornado
Theresa Christian’s disappearance was chilling for her family. It was even more chilling when they found her alive five days later.
Christian, 50, crawled into a deep freezer to hide from a tornado that threatened to hit Tulsa, and then couldn’t get out.
Her family stopped hearing from her Saturday, KCPQ-TV reported. Her son William went to her apartment Tuesday to look for her but had no luck.
When he returned Wednesday with relatives, Tulsa Police Cpl. Daisy Vallely said, he “heard a moan coming from the area of the freezer and opened it up and discovered her sitting inside.”
Christian had been in the freezer for at least “a couple of days,” according to Vallely, and suffered severe frostbite to the lower half of her body.
Cops think she couldn’t escape because her legs were frozen. Her son thinks she was “probably over-medicated” when she decided to climb into her freezer.
“Saturday, she came out saying that there was a tornado coming or something,” William Christian said.
“She’s on a lot of medication.”
Christian couldn’t tell cops exactly how she ended up in her frigid prison, but the fact that the insulation was torn out of the freezer may have saved her life.
As of Wednesday evening, she was listed in serious condition at a local hospital.
We get that this poor lady wanted to escape the incoming tornado, but the deep freezer???
Get well soon…
