Cory Booker for president?

Cory Booker Invites Hurricane Sandy Victims To His House

Via Huffingtonpost:

Hurricane Sandy hit the state of New Jersey head-on when it made landfall on Monday, destroying the Jersey shoreline and knocking out power to over a million people. In the storm’s aftermath, the Newark mayor has been tweeting non-stop, offering updates on power outages, calming constituents and checking up on those in need.

On Thursday, Twitter user sent a tweet to Booker, complaining about the loss of power at her home. Booker’s response? Come on over.

So, she did.

And then some other people came over too. Booker fed them.

When Newark was hit by a blizzard two years ago, Mayor Booker used Twitter to find his constituents’ homes and personally shovel them out of the snow. He ran into a burning building to rescue a neighbor. Now he’s opened up his own home to share food and power with his constituents.

This is not just for show. This is what this mayor does. Don’t ever change Cory Booker!
