A List Of Words That White People Say The Makes Blacks Cringe

A lot of people like to believe that we live in a post-race world, where we are all equal and discrimination is a thing of the past. Unfortunately, that could not be further from the truth.

While racism and bigotry still run rampant in America, some of these ignorant azzholes are too shook to shout their racist beliefs in public. Instead, they disguise their closed-minded mentalities with terms that might appear to be benign, but carry an ugly connotation that could easily offend anyone in earshot.

Hit the flipper to see which terms might make you want to catch fade with someone talking out the side of their neck.

“Boy”

If you aren’t our father, then we are NOT your “boys”. We some grown azz men dog, we don’t play that isht.

“Ghetto”

As black folks, we have associated many people, places, and things as being “ghetto”. However, when said by a white person it tends to come off differently because let’s face it, most of them have never SEEN “the ghetto”, much less been there, or know people that live there.

For example…

“Monkey”

Unless you want to see something like “Rise Of The Planet Of The Apes” we suggest that you keep this term FAR away from your mouth.

We ran across this little nugget on Instagram a few days back.

Amber callin Wiz “monkey” is probably completely harmless, she probably calls him that all the time. But you if you were standing in a store and heard that wouldn’t you cringe? Just a little??

“Thugs”

The problem with this word is that more often than not the person using it, is only using it because of their reaction to someone’s physical appearance. Trayvon Martin learned the hard way about “thug attire” and what it means to some of these fools out here.

Nowadays, all the gentlemen pictured above could have families, college educations, and good jobs, but a Black And Mild, a hoodie, and a fitted hat would have them labeled “thugs”.

“Hoochie Mama”

Sure, we know a few of those, but every black woman in a short skirt and heels is not a “hoochie mama”. Furthermore, some of those ladies are probably bosses, CEO’s, and entrepreneurs that just happen to be fashionable and fly while they’re runnin isht.

“Baby Daddy”

Something about this term coming from a blonde-haired, blue-eyed, Becky just sounds like “broke black bastard”. But we could be wrong…

“Brotha”

We can all be equal. We can all be peers, co-workers, classmates, friends, etc, but let’s be clear, we are NOT your “brothas”. And take that “black accent” and condescending tone out of your voice when you say it too cotdammit!

“Girlfriend”

Same issues as “brotha”. Ma’am, that black woman does not even know you. She is NOT your girlfriend, and stop rolling ya neck and snappin’ ya fingers when you say it! SMH

“Ni**er”

It goes without saying that this is a no-no for MOST white folks. We know that some whites would argue that their black friends “gave them a pass”, and if that is how you and your crew get down then so be it. But recognize that the outside world ain’t yo’ crew, and fade may be administered if black folks hear you talkin’ about “ya ni**as” out in public. Act accordingly…
