Guess he’s got the juice now, right Bishop? Jay-Z must have caught a guilty conscience after he and BeyBey ditched their powerless hood to go party with the other stars because word on the street is he’s now powering up the whole block with a generator he purchased.
Via Page Six reports:
TriBeCa neighbors are hailing Jay-Z as a Hurricane Sandy guardian angel. Though Jay is said to have sought refuge uptown, and was spotted with Beyoncé and Blue Ivy at the Mandarin Oriental following the storm, the word around TriBeCa is that the hip-hop mogul and part owner of the Brooklyn Nets bought a generator to power 195 Hudson St., where he and Beyoncé own a nearly $7 million loft. The Web site TribecaCitizen.com also noted the chatter, but when we put it to Jay’s rep, we simply got a “no comment.”
Seems like there might be some truth to this one, with a touch of exaggeration. Is he handling energy for the whole hood or just his building?
Either way it looks like Blue Ivy has helped Hov find his softer side. Good for him!
