Quote of The Day: Iranian President

- By Bossip Staff

Posted by Bossip Staff

The Iranian President, Mahmoud Ahmadinejad, wants to wish us a  Merry Christmas:

Iran’s President Mahmoud Ahmadinejad will deliver a Christmas Day broadcast on Britain’s Channel 4 television, occupying a slot used to provide an often controversial counterpoint to Queen Elizabeth II’s traditional annual message, the station said Wednesday. In his recorded message, Ahmadinejad offers seasonal greetings to Christians and says he believes that if Jesus were alive, he would “stand with the people in opposition to bullying, ill-tempered and expansionist powers,” an apparent reference to the United States and its allies.

Damn, Discuss…

I live in the middle east and I can tell you for a fact that the average Iranian doesn’t give a damn about what this crazy fool has to say. They always tell me “He is like George Bush, Crazy man…we don’t like him.” His time shall pass just like Bush. This is why many around world truly look towards Obama as hope. Anyways the middle east has love for the brown 😉

  • oatdog

I agree 100%!! lol If Beyonce or Jay-Z aint on tour in that country they have no idea of whats going on….nor do they care!

    @black ivy

maybe we need to start paying more attention to more important things happening outside of this country. Bush being elected twice and 9/11 partially happened because we were asleep at the wheel. Maybe if we spent more time reading a newspaper once in a while than reading this silly website on celebrities who have no affect on our daily lives, we would be better people.

Now I will get off my soapbox right now.

Iran doesn’t have a nuclear weapon yet though if Russia has anything to do with it then it’s only a matter of time. Iran in general isn’t a threat to the US, indeed, it’s more of a problem for Israel. Our problem is Russia and Putin’s desire to put them back in the Super power status. With the outreach to Iran and South America w/ Chavez and the Castro bros., you see him trying build up a little coalition of haters.

I’m NOT RELIGIOUS…but please let there be a HELL for this sad little man…the clerics who back him…and the inbred religious fundamentalists who support his worldview.

  • tay

I think he is right though about Jesus being against the way the United States acts.

I’m not too fond of Mahmoud Ahmadinejad and his politics, but I must admit he is one of the coolest dressed world leaders/despot. I like the whole no tie look.

  • m

first i am not mad at him for his quote. do you really think jesus would stand on the side of the ones trying to take over the world, instead of trying to spread the word of god over the world if he were here today?
second once the iron curtain came down and it was found out russia was letting its interior crumble just to front to the world like it could compete with the us it became a joke.
who we need to worried about is countries like iran and iraq who will get tired of the us treating them like they are just puppets to further whatever interests of the day suits it.

He is ridiculing Christianity to say “if Jesus were alive.” Newsflash the Promised Land is now located beyond judgment in heaven & not in any place on earth and if he is smart he would be getting ready for the Coming of Christ instead of scoffing about his existence.

I added some scriptures to prove that Mahmoud really doesn’t want Jesus to return because when he does there will be no judgment of land disputes or vindication of position in any disagreement. It will be all just be over….

    Rev. 6:12-17
12When he opened the sixth seal, I looked, and behold,(AG) there was a great earthquake, and(AH) the sun became black as(AI) sackcloth, the full moon became like blood, 13and(AJ) the stars of the sky fell to the earth(AK) as the fig tree sheds its winter fruit when shaken by a gale. 14(AL) The sky vanished(AM) like a scroll that is being rolled up, and(AN) every mountain and island was removed from its place. 15Then the kings of the earth and the great ones and the generals and the rich and the powerful, and everyone, slave[e] and free,(AO) hid themselves in the caves and among the rocks of the mountains, 16(AP) calling to the mountains and rocks, “Fall on us and hide us from the face of(AQ) him who is seated on the throne, and from the wrath of the Lamb, 17for(AR) the great day of their wrath has come, and(AS) who can stand?”

    2 Peter 3:9
9(O) The Lord is not slow to fulfill his promise(P) as some count slowness, but(Q) is patient toward you,[a](R) not wishing that any should perish, but(S) that all should reach repentance. 10But(T) the day of the Lord will come like a thief, and then(U) the heavens will pass away with a roar, and(V) the heavenly bodies[b] will be burned up and dissolved, and the earth and the works that are done on it will be exposed.[c]

    Also Rev. 19 11:21

11Then I saw(W) heaven opened, and behold,(X) a white horse! The one sitting on it is called(Y) Faithful and True, and(Z) in righteousness he judges and makes war. 12(AA) His eyes are like a flame of fire, and on his head are(AB) many diadems, and he has(AC) a name written that no one knows but himself. 13He is clothed in(AD) a robe dipped in[d] blood, and the name by which he is called is(AE) The Word of God. 14And the armies of heaven,(AF) arrayed in fine linen, white and pure,(AG) were following him on white horses. 15(AH) From his mouth comes a sharp sword(AI) with which to strike down the nations, and(AJ) he will rule them with a rod of iron.(AK) He will tread the winepress of the fury of the wrath of God the Almighty. 16On his robe and on his thigh(AL) he has a name written,(AM) King of kings and Lord of lords.

17Then I saw an angel standing in the sun, and with a loud voice he called to(AN) all the birds that fly directly overhead,(AO) “Come, gather for(AP) the great supper of God, 18(AQ) to eat the flesh of kings, the flesh of captains, the flesh of mighty men, the flesh of horses and their riders, and the flesh of all men, both free and slave,[e] both small and great.” 19And I saw(AR) the beast and the kings of the earth with their armies(AS) gathered to make war against him who was sitting on the horse and against his army. 20And the beast was captured, and with it(AT) the false prophet(AU) who in its presence[f] had done the signs by which he deceived those who had received the mark of the beast and those who(AV) worshiped its image. These two were(AW) thrown alive into the lake of(AX) fire that burns with sulfur. 21And the rest were slain by the sword(AY) that came from the mouth of him who was sitting on the horse, and(AZ) all the birds were gorged with their flesh.

Thanks. I am also heartened at the very real possibility that American-Cuban relations will be patched up during this new administration. You already see overtures being made by Raul Castro towards Barack. Will this end the decades old embargo and create new life for Cubans? Who knows but it’s more possible than ever. There stands a good chance that we won’t have to worry about another Cuban missile crisis.
The other good thing we can be happy about is the diminishing oil prices. It’s having a very real effect on Venezuela, Russia Iran and by default all oil bearing nations over the world (mid-east specifically). The people won’t be so quick to get behind a government when the money is drying up.

    @ BlackLADYDoctor

It’s never as simple as you’d think. On the current Israel strike. It was actually HAMAS that started the conflict. It’s playing out much like the Georgia-Russian conflict earlier this year (admist the election). Like that skirmish you have a smaller force playing the aggressor who eventually gets dominated. The hope is to garner sympathy from the rest of the world. For a full account on this recent fued you need to look no further than here: http://www.realclearworld.com/

There is an article which describes HAMAS building a missile launcher in a residential area. Their intentions were indeed dubious and they knew that there would be retaliation with much of the leadership going underground before Israel started there counterattack.

I don’t dislike Ahmadinejad. At least, he stands up for his people and what he believes. I don’t think his message was crazy or mean, at all…I mean after all, there probably will be hard feelings for a long time, especially after this was with Iraq.(even though they don’t get along, they are together, in that they don’t like the West interfering with their affairs..The Middle East are the only ones who really stand up to the United States. I hope Barack does what’s right..I have my doubts, especially after this thing with Israel , Gaza, and Palestine, yesterday…

I really look forward to the different nations settling their differences…Soon, they won’t have a choice, if things continue, the way they are going….

  • always knew

Additionally, everyone said that Barack would be tested, when he first got in office…He hasn’t even got in the office, yet and it’s getting worse by the minute….I don’t understand why Israel has our full support..They are killing Palestians, with no real repercussions, surely something must be done to help them besides humanitarian aid…Who will help them, defend themselves? Why are we not helping Palestine, instead of backing Israel??Does anyone know??..

  • white male

    ALways knew

    Israel has no repercussions??
They are bombing military positions that are purposefully built in civilian areas because thousands of rockets have been fired into there country. Hamas is feeling the REPURCUssions right now for firing rockets.

  • Jessica

Whatever, first off this man sends seasonal greetings to Christians and then says “if Jesus were alive…”

If anybody knows the doctrine of Christianity it is this man. He is no idiot that was a cheap shot against all Christians because we believe Jesus is alive, that he rose from the dead and will return. All he did to me was insult a whole group of people to further his position against the Israel.

Mahmoud is against Christianity for saying Muslims are not in accordance with God’s word, thus in need of salvation and against some of us who have been in support of Israel’s position against Palestine.

Well I am in agreement that Jesus stood for peace and like Mahmoud I do not agree with many Christians that are in support of Israel just because that location and the Jewish people “were” once the chosen people of God.

Some Christians just don’t understand that Jesus changed everything and there is no longer a promised land anywhere located on earth and the Jewish people are no longer the chosen people of God.

Christian people need to understand God’s people are now those that believe and obey his Word no matter what ethnicity you are. So yes in some ways I agree with Mahmoud that peace is the way of Jesus and some that call themselves Christians have taken the wrong stand to defend Israel just because of the Old Testament.

However he is still wrong to disrespect all Christians just because some support violence against Palestinians.

  • white male

Aren’t Christians DHimmi or second class citizens in his country??? He forgot to mention that. And aren’t gays executed in his country??? Women’s rights??

    Genocide in Palestine so phisticated???
Israel is bombing Hamas targets, aka the terrorist organization that has shot thousands of rockets into its country.

  • always knew

@ white male- I’m asking because I don’t really know or understand, what the Middle East is fighting over. All, I know is that the HolyLand has been fought over for thousands of years. What will it take to make the conflict end? I don’t know anything about Hamas, other than they are a renegade group…My Middle Eastern history is not up to par. I was educated in an American Schools and they didn’t spend time explaining or going through Middle Easten Conflicts, and what the United States, has to do with it? I’m sorry but I don’t understand why Israel is bombing at all….It doesn’t seem as if there will ever be a compromise over there…How come they don’t get tired of fighting and the economic instability that occurs, because of it?? Why do they hate Palestine?

  • DDub

    @ always knew

Check the link I provided for an overview on this current fight between HAMAS and Israel (which HAMAS started): http://www.realclearworld.com/

As far as Ahmadinejad is concerned, he doesn’t recognize Israel as a state (and has consistently threatened to blow them off the face of the earth) and said the Halocaust was a myth. That’s not cool in most parts of the world.

America helped form Israel last century for Jews. Unfortunately, they tricked land from the Palestinians (Muslims) and hence the ongoing conflict.

  • white male

    ALways knew
Islamic culture is very diffirent than the rest of the world. Of course not all muslims are bad but there culture clashes with others. Where the muslim world borders the rest of the world there is conflict. Kashmir, Chechnya, Bosnia, and other places. Hamas is a radical islamic group than is in control of palestine. They vow to kill all jews. There is no bargaining with them. Israel could build every Palestinian a mansion with a pool and these radicals will still try to drive all jews out of Israel. Jews have lived in Israel for over 4,000 years by the way. So Hamas has been firing rockets into Israel from Palestine for a few years now. They are not sophisticated missiles but every once in a while they kill someone. Israel has been under a lot of domestic pressure to do something about it. I don’t know what happened but Israel snapped and has been attacking Hamas targets. Hamas does basically hide behind civilians so the death toll is like at 300 right now. I heard it is mostly Hamas people but I really don’t know I’m not there.
