No one would ever know you blast these songs at ignorant levels unless you told them. Like value menu combos and bad decisions, guilty pleasures are unhealthy yet essential for inner-balance. Without them, you’d be forever miserable like ex-Bad Boy artists.
We all have songs we HATE to love. These are the best of 2012.
Trinidad Jame$ “All Gold Everything” –
You probably won’t admit to loving this wonderfully-ratchet gem but everyone secretly does. Mollies popped….you, sweatin, with this on repeat? Pure bliss. Other than “Maury,” it’s the guiltiest pleasure you’ll ever have.

Carly Rae Jepsen “Call Me Maybe” –
That insanely-popular song you genuinely want to hate because you feel you’re supposed to, but don’t, because it’s one of the catchiest songs ever, of all-time, in the history of life? “Call Me Maybe.”
Future “Same Damn Time” –
Future was born to A) make quality music for barefoot hoodrats in the club B) create a glorious street anthem about multitasking that makes perfect sense without making any sense.
Mary J. Blige “Crispy Chicken Wrap (The Anthem)” –
CRISPY CHICKEN. FRESH LETTUCE. THREE CHEESES. RANCH DRASSIN. WRAPPED.UP.INNA. TASTEE. FLOWER. TORTEEYA. Admit it, you’ve sang these magical words before, several times, either in the shower, car or randomly in the store because it’s that low-key catchy.
Chief Keef “Love Sosa” –
Socially-retarded with dreads marinated in sewage, Chief Keef is the filthiest of all Garbage Pail Kids BUT “Love Sosa” sticks to your soul and never lets go. It’s perfectly OK if you hate yourself for liking this, everyone does.
2 Chainz “Riot” –
Say the following words while looking in the mirror every morning (before brushing your teeth): “I can do all things through 2 Chainz who strengthens me.” No one will ever know.
Cash Out “Cashin Out” –
The more you tried to hate this song, the longer it would play on repeat in your mind until you finally broke down and joined the rest of us. Top 5 club banger of the summer.
Nicki Minaj “Starships” –
Every person living inside Nicki’s head hates each other but somehow united to make “Starships” happen. Hate/
love tolerate her, the hook is undeniable.
Tyga Feat. Lil’ Wayne “Faded” –
Young Tigger and Weezy F. ‘I Got A Lot of Babies’ druggishly mumbling about absolutely nothing and everything, at the same damn time, is ALL that’s right and wrong with Hip-Hop in 2012.
Taylor Swift “We Are Never Ever Getting Back Together” –
Once you’ve listened to this, and you will, because that’s how the universe works, your soul belongs to Taylor Swift.
