Oprah Shares Wealth With Poor Atlanta School

Oprah is up to her old tricks of blessing the less fortunate, and this time the recipients are children in Atlanta:

ATLANTA – Parents, teachers and students at an innovative Atlanta private school in one of Atlanta’s poorest neighborhoods cried tears of joy yesterday when they learned that Oprah Winfrey had donated $365,000.

“We teach school all day and fund-raise at night,” said Ron Clark, who finds private donors to pay most of the $14,000 annual tuition for each student. “To have an unsolicited gift come like that is incredible.”

“Everything they learn is enhanced because of the teachers’ dedication and creativity,” said a tearful Gloria Nesmith, whose son, Cameron, is a fifth-grader at the academy. “And Oprah noticed. I’m just overwhelmed.”

When all else fails, Oprah always comes through. Maybe she can find a way to help out our brothers and sisters in the “D” with this automotive mess. Where there’s an Oprah, there’s a way.
