Samuel Leroy Jackson’s caps-locked approach to acting is legendary. He’s played every type of character (and worn every wig possible) in over 130 films as the highest grossing actor ever. Some may hate him for the same reasons they despise Jennifer Hudson, Mo’Nique or
Meek Megaphone Mill, but he’s now a living legend.
Here are the ten greatest Samuel L. Jackson movie moments. Take a look.
Uncle Tom Fury | “Django Unchained” –
Sam’s deliciously-villainous “Stephen” (who’s basically “Uncle Ruckus” from “The Boondocks”) has a classic negro moment when he sees a freed slave (“Django”) on a horse, which, in those times, was unthinkable. Very few scenes (in film history) are more hilarious.
“Say.WHAT.Again!”|“Pulp Fiction” –
“Jules Winnfield” (and his perfectly-moisturized jheri-swirl) is the iconic bada$$ Sam was born to play. Nominated for an Oscar, Sam owned every scene including this famous breakfast interrogation that NEVER gets old.
FED UP In The Friendly Skies | “Snakes on a Plane” –
After hours trapped in this terrible movie battling deadly snakes 30,000 feet in the air, Sam SNAPS in thee scene that launched “Snakes on a Plane” into pop culture infamy.
Sam Shakin’ The (Courtroom) Table | “A Time to Kill” –
“YES, THEY DESERVED TO DIE AND I HOPE THEY BURN IN HELL!” – “Carl Lee Hailey.”
Rage Against The Machine | “Changing Lanes” –
Black man having the worst day ever is denied a crucial loan and does what anyone in his position would do: Destroy the Bank teller’s computer monitor. If you’ve never seen this movie, you should. It’s riveting.
Haters Gon’ Hate | “School Daze” –
Like Chris Rock’s classic “N***as vs. Black people” routine, Sam’s ironically-profound monologue outside the fried chicken spot will always be relevant.
John McClane VS Zeus | “Die Hard: With A Vengeance” –
The racial tension between “John McClane” (Bruce Willis) and “Zeus” (Sam L.) in this underrated “Die Hard” flick is cinematic gold. Only Sam could’ve made this movie work the way it does.
Samuel L. Shark Bait | “Deep Blue Sea” –
Sam screaming at disrespectful decibels the entire movie had Jaws stressed. So, he ate him in the only memorable scene from an otherwise forgettable movie.
White girl Chained | “Black Snack Moan” –
Shamefully-bold film where a raggedy ’ole ex-Blues guitarist discovers and enslaves a sex-addicted white girl. Yes, it’s just as ugly, offensive and cinematically-reckless as it sounds but a somewhat enjoyable time (after several drinks).
(Angry Black) Man On Fire | “Unthinkable” –
Imagine Samuel L. playing a (completely insane) interrogation specialist who’ll do ANYTHING to break a terrorist before bombs hidden in the city explode. Well, that really happened in a movie, and was probably too real for a major release. MUST-SEE.
