The 20-year-old newly single singer decided to sing Justin Timberlake’s “Cry Me a River” at the third annual UNICEF charity concert in New York City Saturday night, telling the crowd the song spoke to her, along with other numerous breakup tunes.

Selena reportedly told the crowd before beginning her acoustic version of Timberlake’s breakup anthem:

“I’ve been through a lot the past few months. It’s been weird and sad and cool,” adding, “This song definitely speaks to me.”

But Gomez’s performance wasn’t an original one. In fact, Bieber did his own rendition of “Cry Me a River” back in November after their first split.

Guess now we know just why Selena and her caliente mini-cakes kicked the Biebs to the curb!
