Consequence Defends Using Light Skin Lyrics

We’re still talking about light vs. dark in 2013? Well, apparently on Love and Hip Hop the answer is yes! Star of the reality show Lore’l took offense to a lyric rapper and cast-mate Consequence wrote calling light skin the right skin.

Consequence decides to work with the aspiring artist but Lore’l had one condition.

The rappin’ banger disliked a line Cons wrote for her song saying, “Light skin is the right skin, so you, you, you and your white friend,” should be removed because she doesn’t want to offend her darker fans. Consequence refused but decided to air out his feelings about the disaster via Twitter:
