Via Yahoo! Sports reports:

Free agent running back Reggie Bush has agreed to terms with the Detroit Lions, Mike Florio of reports.
Financial details have not been reported, but according to Tim Twentyman of, the deal spans four years and Bush, who visited the Lions on Wednesday, will be introduced to the media at 1:45 p.m. local time.

Originally selected by the New Orleans Saints with the No. 2 overall pick in the 2006 NFL Draft out of USC, the 2005 Heisman Trophy winner (since forfeited) has rushed for 4,162 yards and 29 touchdowns with 372 receptions for 2,730 yards and 15 touchdowns during his seven-year career.
Bush spent five seasons with the Saints before he was traded to the Miami Dolphins following the 2011 lockout. Bush signed a two-year, $9.75 million contract with the Dolphins and, as an every-down back over the last 31 games, rushed for 2,072 yards with 12 touchdowns, going over 1,000 yards for the first time in his career during the 2011 season. Bush added 78 receptions for 588 yards with three touchdowns as a receiver out of the backfield and his game-breaking ability in the open field along with his versatility are what the Lions are seeking to add their backfield.

The Lions used a 2010 first-round pick on Jahvid Best to bring that “lightning” element to their offense, but the former Cal standout has battled concussions and has been urged by even his current teammates to retire. 2011 second-round pick Mikel Leshoure led the Lions with 798 yards and nine touchdowns on the ground last season and he will likely assume a complementary, short-yardage role to Bush, who is expected to take the No. 1 spot on the depth chart and get the bulk of the playing time.

Seems like we haven’t heard much about Reggie’s on-field antics since he and the Saints won the Superbowl YEARS ago. Do you think the move to the Lions is a good fit for him?
