De’Marquise Elkins’ mother 36-year-old Karimah Elkins, and his aunt, 33-year-old Katrina Elkins, were both arrested for lying to authorities to cover up the murder of a 2-year old baby. Karimah Elkins and Katrina Elkins are charged with making false statements to police, a misdemeanor. Jail records show both women were released after posting bond.
