Nevermind “easy”, pimpin’ ain’t LEGAL!
NYC Pimp Sentenced To 63 Years In Prison For Kidnapping, Sex Abuse, Prostitution
A violent pimp who viciously tortured the women under his thumb was slammed with a 62 ½ year prison sentence Monday by a judge who called his brutality “akin to slavery.”
Donnell Baines, 39, was hit with a sentence that could mean he dies behind bars after Manhattan Supreme Court Justice Patricia Nunez ripped him for exploiting vulnerable women.
“You picked these damaged women. You gave them food, housing, They performed prostitutional activities for you,” the judge said. “You never gave them a penny … To me this is akin to slavery.”
Baines, dressed in a grey suit and black thick-rimmed glasses, gave an animated plea for leniency, vowing to fight his conviction “till the day I die.”
“The court may not like me. I don’t like me. But I didn’t do those things,” Baines said. “It defies basic human experience for somebody to (be sexually assaulted) and not say anything to keep leaving and coming back.”
The evidence at trial revealed Baines held three women captive and forced them to have sex for money at hotels and in his upper East Side apartment between March 2009 and July 2010.
“As proven at trial, he even went so far as to beat his victims for the slightest infraction of his rules. This sentence reflects the gravity of the defendant’s actions in using women’s bodies for personal profit,” DA Cyrus Vance Jr. said in a statement.
You already know how this goes… “You used to be the Don Juan, now ya name is just ‘Toine.”
