Here we go again… Beysus is back to musing on motherhood, marriage and her role as the symbol of female power across the globe in the May issue of British Vogue. Here are a few excerpts via DailyMail:
When asked if she considers herself a feminist, she shys away from an immediate endorsement of the term and replies: ‘That word can be very extreme…
‘But I guess I am a modern-day feminist. I do believe in equality. Why do you have to choose what type of woman you are? Why do you have to label yourself anything? I’m just a woman and I love being a woman.’
While Beyonce has achieved so many things many women haven’t, she acknowledges the world still has a lot of room for improvement when it comes to equality.
She explained: ‘I do believe in equality and that we have a way to go and it’s something that’s pushed aside and something that we have been conditioned to accept.
‘But I’m happily married. I love my husband.’
Awwww, isn’t that sweet. But who said you have to hate your husband to be a feminist?

Bey also says her marriage and the birth of her daughter changed the way she viewed herself:
‘I feel like Mrs Carter is who I am, but more bold and more fearless than I’ve ever been.
‘It comes from knowing my purpose and really meeting myself once I saw my child. I was like, “OK, this is what you were born to do.” The purpose of my body became completely different.’
She also says she’ll support Blue Ivy whether she decides to go into entertainment or something else.
‘I definitely want my daughter to have goals and drive and passion – it has to be a balance.’
Well that’s good that she doesn’t want her baby to be a lil slacker. At least Bey has some good family values riiiiight?
Do you love Beyoncé interviews or do you think she comes off a lil coached and Stepfordy?
