Via RollingStone

Flavor Flav will stand trial for felony charges of assault with a weapon and child endangerment. A Las Vegas judge has ruled that there is enough evidence to support claims that the Public Enemy hype man threatened his girlfriend’s 17-year-old son with a butcher knife last fall, USA Today reports.

Flavor Flav – real name William Jonathan Drayton Jr. – is expected to plead not guilty at the arraignment, which is scheduled for April 18th. He did not speak during yesterday’s evidence hearing, though the adolescent did.

Flavor Flav Arrested in Las Vegas

Along with threatening the 17-year-old with the knife, Drayton is accused of pushing his girlfriend to the floor of their Las Vegas home. If convicted, he could spend up to 12 years in prison.

We would say that Flav has a good lawyer and will probably only get probation, but this kid was 17 years old and this isn’t exactly Flav’s first criminal offense. We shall see…
