Two Men Shot Outside N.Y.C. Lounge:

Two men were shot and two were slashed outside an upper-Manhattan night club early Saturday morning after an argument inside the nightspot got out of hand, police sources said.

The fracas started inside the Negro Claro Lounge on 10th Ave. in Inwood around 4:30 a.m. when a large group of revelers got into an argument that quickly escalated.

The fight spilled outside the club and became more heated. At some point, one or more of the men involved switched from fists to weapons and a gun and knife were drawn.

In the ensuing melee, a 23-year-old man was shot in the stomach and taken to Columbia-Presbyterian Hospital in serious condition and a 48-year-old man was shot in the lower back and taken to the Allen Pavilion Hospital in stable condition.

Additionally, two men in their 20s were slashed in the face and head and were taken to area hospitals; their injuries were not considered life-threatening. None of the victims were immediately identified.

Police have interviewed witnesses and workers at the lounge and are looking for surveillance footage as they investigate the brawl, but so far no suspects are in custody.
