Celebrity Dads Congratulate Kanye West

There were talks of Kanye West making a surprise appearence at Hot 107.9’s Birthday Bash in Atlanta on Saturday night, but as fate would have it Yeezy and girlfriend Kim Kardashian celebrated a birthday bash of a different kind when their first child was born on that same day.

“It’s funny, I talked it him and I was like, ‘Bruh, I think I need you at Birthday Bash,” 2 Chainz told MTV News of a convo that he and West had prior to ‘Ye’s daughter being born. “He was like, ‘Kim won’t let me go, we might have the baby’ and it’s funny that they literally had it.”

Kim went into labor earlier than expected on Saturday, but by the time Birthday Bash kicked into full swing, the backstage was buzzing about the blessed event. “I’m happy for him, it’s a beautiful thing, especially right around Father’s Day for Kanye to have his first child and everything. Congratulations to the two of ’em,” DJ Drama told us.

Like Drama, T.I. is also a proud father, in fact he revealed to us that his daughter Deyjah was born on Father’s Day several years ago, so he can relate to Kanye. Tip believes that even though balacning fatherhood and fame isn’t always easy, West has all that it takes to be a great dad. “If he’s as dedicated and committed to fatherhood as he has been to everything else he has done, I think that’s gonna be one brilliant baby,” he said of the rapper’s daughter.

Meek Mill also knows a thing or two about having a baby and balancing a music career, so what advice does he have for the new parents? Stock up on sleep. “Kanye, Kim Kardashian, they ain’t gettin’ no sleep this month. You see them in an interview, they’re both gonna have bags under their eyes from the baby laying in the bed screaming. Security can’t stop this, the managers can’t stop this,” he joked.

Even with the stress of late night feedings, the “Ima Boss” MC is sure that Kim and Kanye will make an excellent mom and dad. “They’re responsible guys, they’ve made it this far, they’re successful people in life so I think they’ll be great,” he said.

On Father’s Day 2 Chainz says he will no doubt spend time with his two daughters, actually despite his hetic schedule, he tries to dedicate as much time to his girls as he can. So if Yeezy ever needed some advice on how to raise his own baby girl, he can turn right to his buddy 2 Chainz. “I try to do father/daughter time all the time,” Chainz said. “I think it’s very important that fathers spend times with their daughters.”
