At first glance, Sira Kane would appear to be just your average fun-loving, shy 3rd grader. But at the age of 9, she is already an accomplished author with not one, but TWO published books titled “Treasuries for Girls” and “Adventure Stories.”
“It was back in first grade…I read a lot of books and I thought it would be cool to make some of my own,” said Sira.
Her father says that she knew at the age of six exactly what she wanted to do in life. “One day she told me, ‘this is my life this is what I want to do. I want to write,’ and I told her ‘I will back you up, I will be behind you and it will take what it will take’ said Mr. Kane.
He says that everyday since then, Sira begins writing after finishing her homework. Now, she has accumulated more written books then most authors 3 times her age.
“I saw she wrote like 2 or 3 stories and at the same time she was doing the illustration, and after, I was keeping it in a little box, and then one day I saw that there was 235,” said Kane. “She has written 400 books and counting.”
When asked where she gets her inspiration, Sira replied: “sometimes I read and watch TV and it gives me ideas.”
We couldn’t be more excited for little Sira. Congrats! Sira’s books are currently available for purchase on Amazon.com and at Barnes & Noble.
