Kenya Moore will live to twirl another day in her ATL home…

Kenya Moore Stops Eviction Process

Kenya Moore’s eviction from her Roswell rental home has been put on hold and a new hearing date has been set for July 9 in the Fullton County magistrate court.

Via Access Atlanta reports:

The “Real Housewives of Atlanta” cast member has been in a seemingly ridiculous battle with her landlady Conya Dillon.

Dillon last Friday filed a motion for an “expedited hearing on shortened notice” to have this case resolved even sooner if possible.

“Defendant [Moore] has created a media circus in a desperate attempt to maintain relevancy as a reality TV personality while maliciously attacking Plaintifff’s character,” the filing states.

Moore’s lease was up at the end of May. The former Miss USA tried to extend her rental 60 days, which Dillon did not accept.

Instead, Dillon filed an eviction notice in late May, accusing Moore of not paying her full rent and making alterations to the home.

This was the second time Dillon has chased Moore down for late payment. She had first filed an eviction notice for late payment in January, a filing that was never publicized. Moore eventually paid up. Dillon, in her court filing, also claims that Moore paid her rent late several times and was delinquent on other bills at different times.

When Moore and her attorney did not appear in court for the original eviction hearing last week, the magistrate judge granted Dillon the eviction and dropped a countersuit Moore had filed against Dillon. (Read the details here.)

But Moore’s attorney Marcia Fuller told me they never received information about the hearing. She ultimately convinced the judge to reschedule.

Moore was planning to leave the home next month anyway, she told Wendy Williams last week. She said she had placed a $6,000 security deposit upfront and was never in arrears.

You say I’m evicted, I say I’m fabulous. Now twirl, twirl, twirl.
