A year and a half after buying, Dallas Cowboys defensive back Orlando Scandrick is selling his sleek home in Los Angeles. The contemporary Hollywood Hills home was one of Scandrick’s big purchases after signing a five-year, $27 million contract extension ($10 million of which was guaranteed) with the Cowboys in the summer of 2011. According to a report by the LA Times, the defensive back now looks to make approximately $750,000 on the modern property after listing it for $2.85 million.

Described as “an ideal showcase for world-class art collections” and “a work of art in and of itself” in the same breath, Scandrick’s home certainly exudes a certain museum quality. A clean, modernized décor with high-end finishes are complemented by retractable walls of glass that merge indoor and outdoor living spaces. The 2009 build offers a total of 3,353 square feet, with four bedrooms and four baths, including a top-floor master suite with a private balcony. Outside, a patio, sunken spa and tiered garden enjoy views stretching from the Griffith Observatory to downtown LA.

Scandrick’s real estate future remains to be seen, but it could be that the Cowboys’ DB is gearing up for an upgrade in the Dallas home department. Scandrick has a three-bedroom condo in Irving, TX, that he purchased for around $230,000 in 2010. Or it could be the Los Alamitos High standout is in the market for a new love nest. Scandrick was recently spotted arm-in-arm with VH1 “Basketball Wives” reality star Draya Michele at the ESPYs.

Flip it over to see more of the house where Draya and Orlando lay their heads.
