Usher Releases Statement About Son’s Drowning

Following the near-drowining of Usher’s oldest son Usher Raymond V, the pop star has had to defend his parenting. Usher recently released an official statement on his site to thank fans for their support and men who saved the 5-year-old’s life.

I am blessed and fortunate to say that my son Usher V is doing well and is recovering. I am overwhelmed by the outpouring of prayers, love and support for my family’s well-being. I would like to thank my Aunt Rena as well as the doctors and nurses who are working with us around the clock. I’d especially like to thank the two men who saved my son’s life, Eugene Stachurski and Ben Crews. They are true heroes and I am deeply grateful to them.

The upcoming custody war between Tameka and ex-hubby Usher is gearing up to be nothing less than epic. Tameka recently claimed in court documents that Usher is allegedly refusing to give her extra time with their children, “stated in my presence that he would rather the nanny raise the minor children than allow me any additional parenting time outside the specific times.”

However, Tameka’s latest tweets have some people thinking she may have taken any court action at all.

Tameka may have also possibly been denying recent reports that suggested she was already awarded custody…
