Another day, another Rihanna “hookup” – this time it’s NFL Wide Receiver Braylon Edwards….

Rihanna dining early Thursday night at Philippe Chow, followed by Braylon Edwards separately. Later in the evening, there was a dinner party there for Nicki Minaj and Birdman. Juelz Santana & DJ Khaled also dined in another room .

Interesting especially since Rihanna dissed Braylon back in 2009….Page Six:

Rihanna doesn’t take bubbly from strangers. While hanging out with a gaggle of assistants and singer James Blount at a party thrown by Vegas nightclub The Bank at Wonderland in LA, the songstress was sent a $10,000 bottle of Champagne by Jets receiver Braylon Edwards and a handful of his teammates, who were at a nearby table. But according to a partygoer, “She didn’t know who they were, so she sent it back.” Edwards’ rep says Braylon later introduced himself and all was well.

Well, apparently she knows who he is now…unfortunately for him, he might not have a spot on the New York Jets in 2013

According to NY Daily News:

The Jets signed WR Mohamed Massaquoi on Thursday, which could be bad news for Braylon Edwards, whose roster spot is in jeopardy.

Edwards hasn’t practiced in the past four days, has played later in preseason games than expected, and has a leg injury, according to Rex Ryan.

Aside from Santonio Holmes, whose status seemingly changes week to week depending on the vet’s mood, Jeremy Kerley, Stephen Hill and Clyde Gates are locks at the receiver spot.

Damn, poor Braylon. He’s had quite a struggle career with his child support drama, DUI issues, bar fights, etc.
